CEU Provider

The TN Association for Assistive Technology Conference is co-sponsored by the AAC Institute, an IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training) approved provider of educational sessions.

AAC Institute maintains the required records relative to third party substantiation of activity participation for five years.  IACET CEUs may be useful for others as well for meeting the requirements for licensure and credential maintenance.  Conference participants are eligible to receive up to 1.0 CEUs for full attendance (or  .4 CEUs for Thursday attendance only).

RESNA, ASHA, AOTA acceptance

RESNA accepts this event for certification renewal. ASHA and AOTA accept credits offered by this approved agency when applying for licensure renewal, however, therapists may only receive credit for courses that align with your discipline. It is the therapist’s responsibility to determine if course content is appropriate for CEUs based on their practice.

The TAAT does not report CEU earnings directly to professional licensing boards.  Following completion of the event, application may be made  directly through the AAC Institute website.  This agency will confirm your attendance and send you a certificate which can be submitted with your next renewal application.

Application process

1)  Keep track of sessions you attend in full by marking them in your program.

2)  When you return from TAAT, you may register for CEUs by visiting www.aacinstitute.org/CEUs and searching for the event by date and name.

Follow the instructions provided there.  You will be asked to download the session attendance report form, indicate those sessions attended, and return the form as an email attachment.  Your saved file will serve as your record.

You also will be asked to download, complete and return the Evaluation and Learning Assessment Form.  After all forms are received and processed, you will receive a certificate by email.
